Costão do Santinho is nominated for the World's Tourism Oscar

Costão do Santinho is among the nominees for the best resorts in South America at the World Travel Awards, an international award considered the "Oscar" of global tourism, which recognizes the leading names in the travel and tourism sector.

The nominees for the title of best resort in South America are famous establishments from countries such as Uruguay, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador, alongside Brazil. Among the 13 selected in the category of South American resorts, there are four properties located in Brazil.

"It is a great satisfaction to be among major international enterprises in one of the largest awards in world tourism. This shows that our standards of excellence align with trends, and we are recognized by our clients," stated the Commercial and Marketing Director, Daniela Rocco. The nomination acknowledges all the work developed by the team, maintaining the legacy of more than three decades led by entrepreneur Fernando Marcondes de Mattos.

The Title

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to recognize, reward, and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries. Today, the World Travel Awards brand is recognized worldwide as the ultimate hallmark of industry excellence.

Each year, the award spans the globe with its Grand Tour, a series of regional gala ceremonies to recognize excellence on each continent, culminating with the winners' participation in a grand finale at the end of the year.

The Voting

The voting process takes place online, supported by a year-long communication campaign to encourage global participation.

Votes are cast by qualified executives working in the travel and tourism industry and by travel consumer buyers worldwide.

The voting period ends on April 7 for the Caribbean and Americas stage. The nominee with the most votes in a category will be elected the 2024 winner.

The Grand Finale

The World Travel Awards gala ceremonies are regarded as milestone events in the travel calendar, featuring leading decision-makers, influencers, and the sector's media.

The gala ceremony for the Caribbean and Americas 2024 stage will be held in Montego Bay, Jamaica, on May 19, and the grand finale 2024 gala ceremony will take place in Madeira, Portugal, on November 24.
